Welcome to Progress Counselling
You will be respected as an Individual with a unique situation

About Me
Tina Bevan BSc. Ad Dip Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative)
Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision including Online and Telephone Working
Qualified and Experienced Counsellor
to work face to face or online, with adults and young people.
I have been working as a certified Counselor since 2004. I can be found on the NCS accredited register and also their Children and Young People Therapists register. I specialize in working with people to identify and achieve their personal goals by exploring the issues that are causing them distress, anxiety or difficulties. This may entail learning techniques to help relieve stress if appropriate, or simple neuroscience to aid understanding. As an integrative counsellor I use various methodologies, according to your individual needs.  I take great pride in the progress and success of my clients, and look forward to working with you. About Counselling
what you can expect

Appointments are sometimes available after normal working hours and at weekends.
Counselling is an exploration of what it is that is causing you problems, looking to understand the cause and seeking resolution in order to release emotional turmoil.

I will be there to truly hear what it is you may need to say.

To explore and maybe offer alternate perspectives, I will not offer advice but will be with you while we work through your thoughts and feelings until you feel confident to make any changes you feel you want to make.

I am not going to judge you, but you can expect me to respond in a real and honest manner whilst being supportive.

Counselling is not an easy option or a quick fix, it requires effort and determination but it can be transformational and worthwhile.

Sessions
Sessions will last for 50 minutes and we will decide together how often we meet.
The cost for each session is £40, payable prior to each session. You can choose to book one session at a time or book a block of either 4 or 6 sessions for a small discount. 4 for £160, 6 for £225. There will usually be no refund for cancelled or unattended meetings.
We will use the platform of Therapy Lock or Zoom which is a very secure way to have online video calls, you will not be required to download any software, just accept the invite to a session which I will email you, and you will gain access to our secure therapy room. You will need internet access (the call quality can usually be improved by switching from WiFi to ethernet connection or to 3G/4G.) If we have a connection difficulty, lets try to reconnect once and if that doesn't work we can switch to telephone. You will need to be in a confidential space where you can be uninterrupted for the session.
Some ways to protect your privacy may be to wear earphones or headphones, they may also improve the sound quality. You might also put a note on the door for family or visitors asking not to be disturbed.
It may be beneficial to prepare a "therapy space" where you can sit comfortably with your back supported and the screen at eye level so there is no strain to lean forward, maybe bring a cup of tea or water with you and have a few moments to prepare yourself for the session, also if possible, set aside a few minutes after the session to give yourself time to reflect and gather your thoughts.
